Therefore, the appointable candidate will need to be eligible to work in the UK or have leave to remain in the UK and associated right to work for the duration of their employment with the University, in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.The Department of Classics at Royal Holloway University of London seeks to appoint a Language Tutor, term-time only (41 weeks) for the academic year 2024-25, beginning on 2 September 2024.The appointee will be expected to have a proven record of excellence in teaching Greek and Latin, or, in the case of early-career candidates, relevant experience and demonstrable potential.The appointee will be expected to play a full and active role in teaching in the Department of Classics. They will be required to teach, convene, and examine undergraduate courses in Classical Greek and Latin at all levels, to contribute to administrative duties and to attend relevant meetings and committees as required. They will work closely with the Head of Department, the UG Education Lead and other academic members of staff, in areas including curriculum design, lesson planning, and the development and implementation of learning technologies.Applicants should have experience of teaching Classical Greek and Latin language, at Beginners and Intermediate levels, and ideally to undergraduates in a university environment. They should have a high-level command of Classical Greek and Latin and a strong and demonstrable commitment to teaching.In return we offer a highly competitive rewards and benefits package including:
