The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity which works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.
We campaign for change, we support farming innovation, we serve healthy food in communities, we support and grow the organic market, and we protect forests. We couldn’t do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within our Finance team, providing dedicated financial support to The Soil Association Land Trust charity and contributing to the wider success of the Soil Association Group.
You will be responsible for producing the Land Trust’s monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts, while acting as a trusted finance business partner to the senior leadership team. Through insightful financial reporting and analysis, you will help inform decision-making and support the charity in delivering its strategic objectives.
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or have equivalent relevant experience, with a strong understanding of charity accounting and statutory reporting.
You are highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and consistently deliver high-quality work to deadlines. You have excellent attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate financial information. A confident communicator, you build positive relationships across the organisation and are comfortable providing constructive challenge where appropriate.
With a positive, solutions-focused approach, you are committed to finding more efficient ways of working and contributing to the ongoing success of the team.
Please note that if you are successful in your application to the role any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
We offer a range of financial and lifestyle benefits to all our employees, including:
