- About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5 (A-Level), covering core mathematical topics and principles.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities, incorporating varied teaching methodologies and resources.
- Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their learning and development in mathematics.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the Mathematics department, including participating in departmental meetings and potentially assisting with extracurricular mathematics activities or clubs.
- Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment within the mathematics classrooms.
- Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background and specialism in Mathematics.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level, ideally across a range of key stages including GCSE and potentially A-Level.
- A thorough understanding of the secondary mathematics curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
- A passion for mathematics and a desire to share that enthusiasm with young people in a central London setting.
