1562041We are currently working with a small Primary, Alternative provision in South Leeds to support pupils on a 1-1 basis.This role is to start ASAP on a full time ongoing basis with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidates.As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be given an opportunity to make a positive impact on some of the most at-risk students in the area and to provide 1-1 support for a child to progress to the next stages of their education. Who are we looking for?A successful candidate would:

• Have experience in an educational setting either in mainstream schools or any other alternative provision.
• A history of working with students with challenging behaviour.
• A confident, caring, and assertive personality
• Be Team Teach Trained
• Available 5 days per week ( 8.15AM – 15.30PM)

What to expect?

• Working in this setting requires patience, confidence, and a caring attitude as the student has complex social, emotional, and mental health issues which need to be managed.
• The student has difficulties in displaying these emotions in a productive way so the use of Team Teach positive behaviour management strategies may be needed.
• The student will require positive re enforcement from you when they display good behaviours.

• A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate or be willing to obtain one (we can assist with this part).
• Team teach Positive behaviour management certificate essential.
