Operations and Engagement Co-ordinator

Moor Trees

We’re a passionate, small charity team that is looking for an Operations and Engagement Co-ordinator. This role is the first point of contact with the charity, while supporting the staff team – connecting our volunteers, supporters, donors, and partners with the work we do on the ground.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be central to the day-to-day running of the charity. Working closely with the team, you will coordinate enquiries, keep the office running smoothly and manage the Chief Executive’s diary. As a key point of contact, you will maintain the systems and processes that keep everyone connected.

You’ll keep us organised and compliant. Our records, databases, and files are only as good as the person maintaining them. You’ll ensure information is accurate, accessible, and handled with the care and discretion that sensitive data demands. Whether it’s tracking donations, logging expenses, or maintaining our supporter CRM (Donorfy).

You’ll help share our story. Coordinating events from AGMs to woodland walks, supporting our presence on social media and Eventbrite, and helping produce newsletters and email campaigns — you’ll play a hands-on role in inspiring the community to support our mission.

You’ll champion our volunteers. From promoting events, to gathering their stories, you’ll help to make sure every volunteer feels valued, informed, and connected to our work restoring native woodland on Dartmoor.

You’ll support the work that defines us. From our Seed Gathering operations and tree sales to fundraising campaigns and corporate Wild Work Days, you’ll provide the administrative support that keeps our programmes moving forward.

What we’re looking for

1. Excellent attention to detail — you notice the things others miss and you care about getting it right

2. Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities

3. A confident, warm communicator — equally comfortable on the phone, in an email, or welcoming someone to an event

4. Experience with administration, data management, or office coordination (charity sector experience a bonus, but not essential)

5. Comfortable with digital tools — social media, website updates, CRM systems, and event platforms

6. Someone who takes initiative, follows through, and genuinely cares about the work

Why join us?

You’ll be joining a small team where your contribution is visible and valued every single day. You’ll be integral to our operations, our communications, and our community. If you want a role with real variety, real responsibility, and real purpose while helping to breathe more life back into Dartmoor, this is it.

Deadline for applications is midday on Tuesday 21st July 2026. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an in person interview on Tuesday 28th July 2026. Preferred candidates will then be invited to a second stage which will be a virtual call with the Chief Executive.
