Job Requisition ID #25WD86382Position OverviewThe reporting team is looking for a highly skilled Principal SDET. You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager and will play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our applications by developing, maintaining, and executing automated test cases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both backend and frontend testing, with a strong background in test automation using tools and technologies.ResponsibilitiesAutomated Test Script DevelopmentArchitect, build and maintain robust automation frameworks for APIs and micro frontendsCreate automated tests for both front-end and backend applications.Ensure CI/CD pipelines are well-integrated with automated test suitesTest ManagementCreate a test repository for functional and performance tests. Create test plans and executions for new and on-going initiatesIdentify, document, and track defects using bug tracking toolsTest execution and Test Result ManagementCreate test cases and execute themCreate defects and track them to closureCollaboration and CommunicationCollaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverageFoster a culture of “built-in quality” and promote the adoption of effective test automation within our teamConduct performance and security testing to enhance application qualityProvide mentorship and best practices to other engineers on testing approachesStay up to date with the latest testing tools, trends, and technologiesMinimum Qualifications5+ years of experience in QA engineering, with a focus on test automationExpertise in automation using modern tools and technologies such as playwright, blaze meter, locustExperience with manual testingStrong knowledge of API testing, UI automation, and backend testingHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating test automation with DevOpsFamiliarity with performance and security testing techniquesExperience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plusSolid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologiesStrong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentExperience with cloud environmentsLearn MoreAbout Autodesk
