We are seeking a motivated and skilled Building Restoration Project Manager to join our team, someone who thrives in a client-focused environment and takes ownership of delivering exceptional results.Position Overview:The Building Restoration Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects, mentoring team members, and fostering strong client and contractor relationships. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Associates and Principals, overseeing all aspects of project delivery, including assessments, design, tendering, construction review, and administration.General Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Attitude:

  • Ensure client-centric service by consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Marketing & Networking:
  • Represent Sense Engineering professionally at industry events.
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to promote future business opportunities.
  • Knowledge Development:
  • Stay up-to-date on industry standards, building codes, and market conditions.
  • Research new technologies, materials, and methodologies.
  • Share insights, lessons learned, and industry updates with the team.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for multiple projects.
  • Communicate project updates to clients and team members.
  • Oversee preparation of invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents.
  • Provide direction to project associates and assistants.
  • Keep project principals informed on project progress.
  • Design & Tendering:
  • Prepare or review scopes of work, technical specifications, and design drawings.
  • Manage tendering processes, including contractor evaluation and bid analysis.
  • Construction Review & Administration:
  • Schedule and conduct site reviews, prepare detailed reports, and address contractor issues.
  • Leverage project resources by providing guidance to project associates and assistants.
  • Review contractor invoices, change orders, and certifications promptly.
  • Monitor construction budgets and schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Client and Contractor Relations:
  • Chair regular construction meetings with contractors and owners.
  • Provide clear updates and recommendations to clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. P.Eng designation preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in restoration or construction project management.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team mentoring abilities.
  • Exceptional client management and communication/writing skills.
  • Proficiency in design preparation, tendering, and contract administration.
  • Familiarity with applicable building codes, standards, and restoration practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
