Introduction

Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the Supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and First-Aid Kits for the GEF8 Project, UNDP Papua New Guinea

1. Background

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Papua New Guinea (PNG) (hereby invites qualified and eligible suppliers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and First-Aid Kits in support of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) 8 Project.

The Project undertakes field-based activities across various provinces of PNG, including site assessments, community engagement, monitoring and field survey work, often in remote and challenging terrain. Adequate personal protective equipment and first-aid provision is required to safeguard the health and safety of project personnel, partners and community participants engaged in these activities, in line with UNDP occupational health and safety requirements.

To support implementation, UNDP intends to engage a supplier for the supply and delivery of the PPE items and first-aid kits specified in Section 3 below.

2. Scope of Services

The successful bidder shall supply and deliver the goods described below:

A. Supply of Personal Protective Equipment

• Supply PPE items in the types, sizes, quantities and specifications set out in Section 3 (Technical Specifications).

• All items must be new, unused, free from defects, and supplied in the original manufacturer’s packaging.

• Items must be fit for purpose in tropical field conditions in PNG, including high humidity, heat and wet conditions.

• Where sizes apply (e.g. footwear, garments, gloves), the supplier shall deliver the size breakdown specified by UNDP.

• The supplier shall confirm the shelf life and manufacturing date of items where applicable.

B. Supply of First-Aid Kits

• Supply complete first-aid kits, fully stocked in accordance with the contents list in Section 3 (Technical Specifications).

• All consumable and medical items must have a minimum remaining shelf life of 12 months from the date of delivery, and expiry dates must be clearly marked.

• Kits must be supplied in durable, water-resistant, clearly marked carry cases suitable for vehicle, boat and backpack transport.

• Each kit shall include a contents list and basic usage instructions in English.

• No expired, repackaged, or near-expiry items will be accepted.

Interested suppliers must submit their offer directly in the system as instructed in the solicitation document, following the instructions in the available user guide.
