Introduction

Project Background and Context

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Ethiopia Country Office, operating under the macro-level Productive Use of Water Program, is implementing the Solar Borehole Water Supply Project within the Somali Region, Ethiopia. This initiative deploys high-yielding, resilient infrastructure utilizing a sustainable mix of regional electricity main grids and solar-powered water pumping networks to ensure permanent community access to safe potable water. Out of twenty (20) target regional boreholes, this project is being executed through a phased procurement approach.

 This current procurement lifecycle encompasses the end-to-end supply, delivery, and quality assurance of the core electromechanical, hydraulic, and solar equipment for Phase 1 (Urgent Requirements) as specified below data. Based on operational needs and project progression, subsequent phases will continue accordingly.

·       The bidder should submit manufacturing authorization or distribution business certificates for the supply of the listed items ; 

Primary Warehouse Location: All items under this scope of supply must be delivered physically, unloaded, and systematically staged within the central regional warehouse staging facility located in Jijiga, Somali Region, Ethiopia.

 Delivery Deadline: All core items in Section 3 must arrive, undergo physical receipt, DAP Jijiga, UNDP warehouse to be delivered on or before 15 August 2026
