Introduction
UNDP invites credible and interested suppliers/contractors to submit bids for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, training, and after-sales support of Hybrid Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems at four Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) stations located in Singida, Same, Mahenge, and Kilwa Masoko under the Systematic Observations Financing Facility (SOFF) Project.
The successful contractor shall provide and install a 2.5 kWp Solar PV system with 5 kWh lithium battery storage and a hybrid inverter at each site, including all mounting structures, electrical cabling, protection devices, earthing and bonding systems, monitoring equipment, and all associated accessories required for a complete and operational installation. The contractor shall also undertake system testing and commissioning, provide operation and maintenance training to designated users, submit all required technical documentation, and deliver 12 months of after-sales support, including preventive and corrective maintenance, technical support, warranty services, and system performance monitoring.
The bidder shall submit comprehensive technical and financial proposals, including detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), Bills of Materials (BOM), technical datasheets, and manufacturer specifications for each site separately.
An Online Meeting for Pre-Bid Clarifications is scheduled for 12 August 2026 at 10:00 AM (EAT). All interested bidders are required to attend this meeting. Attendance is mandatory, and failure to participate may result in incomplete understanding of the requirements and specifications, which could lead to inaccurate pricing and may affect the responsiveness of the bid.
