We’re seeking exceptional, experienced Security Professionals with OFA 2/Intermediate certification for our high-profile Vancouver Public Library site in Downtown. • Provision of excellence in customer service
• Access control
• Patrolling
• CCTV monitoring
• OFA2 (intermediate )First Aid
• Communications, including radio, digital and incident escalations
• Incident and activity reporting
• Identifying and reporting safety hazards
• Crime prevention
• Visual deterrence
• Emergency services liaison
• Dealing with severe / escalated situations
• Demonstrate empathy when handling situations involving Vancouver’s most vulnerable populations

Job Requirements:

• BC Security License (BST)
• Occupational First Aid Level 1/basic (OFA-basic)
• Occupational First Aid Level 2/intermediate (OFA – intermediate) – preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of security industry experience
• Minimum of 1 year customer service experience

• Valid BC Security License
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Reliable, available, independent nature, of sound character and a team player
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-oriented environment
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
