About the RoleThe School of Business and Management (SBM) seek to recruit an inspirational teacher and educational leader to a Senior Lectureship in Professional Development. We are looking for people committed to contributing to teaching the large core modules in this area, developing creative and innovative methods to engage our students, many from disadvantaged backgrounds, and to work collectively in team-teaching. We are also looking for leadership in developing and managing the large UG business and management programme. All applicants should have the ability to teach and supervise effectively across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Department of People and Organisations in SBM.About YouAs a Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship), you will lead and deliver modules in professional development on the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and provide supervision for dissertation projects within the Department of People and Organisations. You will have completed a doctorate in a relevant subject. The successful applicant will have the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of practice as well as a commitment to cross-disciplinary learning and research-based teaching. We are looking for someone with a keen interest and commitment to new methods of pedagogical engagement suited to our particular and diverse cohorts of students. We also appreciate expertise in engagement of large numbers of students and how to deliver inspirational pedagogy working with large cohorts.QMUL is strongly committed to the development of all its staff and we will ensure that the successful candidate has the opportunity to develop their teaching and administrative skills.
