This is an ideal opportunity for a doctor with a special interest in Palliative Medicine to join the Trust at an exciting time of growth.The role will join another specialty doctor and 3 consultants to provide a multi-disciplinary specialist Palliative and End of Life care (P& EOLC) service within the acute hospital, in reaching to the Intermediate Care Centre also on the hospital site. It is advertised as full time or part time – please do enquire if you are seeking flexibility around this as part time or job share options maybe considered.The department prides itself on focusing and supporting each individual to identify what matters to them, what makes them happy in their working life and how we can work together to support that. The successful candidate will have full GMC registration and a minimum of three years post qualification experience in hospital specialist palliative medicine.Main duties of the jobWe are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has strong communication skills, is able to work autonomously with senior clinical support and is flexible in their approach to support our patients and teams across services. Job responsibilitiesThe appointee will have access to a shared team office with a personal laptop at the Great Western Hospital with a personal mobile DECT phone. Remote full IT access is available for home SPA working.
