Mission and objectives

The Resident Coordinator’s Office supports the work of the UN Resident Coordinator and coordinates activities of the UN Country Team in its engagement with the Government as defined by the UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF).
Kenya is currently implementing UNDAF 2018 – 2022, which is the medium-term results framework that describes the response of the UN system to national development priorities. UNDAF describes how the UN country team will contribute to the achievement of development results based on a common country analysis and the UN comparative advantage.
The Resident Coordinator is leading and strategically positioning the United Nations country team in Kenya to respond to the current national priorities, mainly to Kenya’s Vision 2030, Medium-Term Plan III and the Big Four Agenda. The Office has five core functions:
Strategic Planning
Economics
Partnerships and development finance
Data and results management and reporting
Communications and advocacy

Context

In this assignment we aim to create a brand for an upcoming UN led summit. The summit will gather investors interested in learning about Kenya with the potential of investing in local SDG focused programmes. During the event we will have number of online and printed materials from PowerPoints, to posters, social media cards, summit packs and documents. The idea is to have a consistent tone of voice for the multiple stakeholders representing the summit. Where we can use the same branding and font to ensure consistency while communicating on the summit.

Task description

We are looking for an Online Volunteers who has experience in graphic design with excellent record of delivering high quality material. The task will include the following responsibilities:
– Design a branding/ theme
– Create / select font
– Design an associated poster
– Design PPT with theme/branding
– Design social media cards & digital content with branding/theme included
– Design backdrop
– Design of a welcome pack
– Desing the final report
The average estimated workload is expected to include complete delivery of all outlined tasks.
The Online Volunteer will have the opportunity to build connections with the various agencies inside and out of the UN, have their designs showcased a high level international event and learn about how partnerships play a vital role in powering the drive towards the SDGs within the United Nations System.
