You will be an impact player and will have an immense ability to help develop the company’s long-term strategy; influence the corporate culture and have the opportunity for accelerated career growth.The ideal candidate will be humble, yet confident with a strong entrepreneurial DNA. They will be aggressive and have a strong track record of growth/success and an understanding of, and relationships with, Foodservice Operators and Key Account Channels throughout the Ontario marketplace. Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets within the assigned territory. Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the foodservice sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential foodservice clients. Understand their needs, provide solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring regular follow-up, timely delivery of products or services, and resolution of any issues or concerns.
  • Identify, target, and secure new foodservice accounts within the territory. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s product offerings and effectively communicate their benefits and features to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and account management activities. Provide regular reports to the sales manager on performance, market feedback, and territory insights.
  • Participate in customer food shows as required.

Education & Experience:

  • Experience with and/or a passion for Value Added Branded Food products a must.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales/sales experience in the Foodservice channel.
  • Experienced making sales presentations to executives in the foodservice sector.
  • Must possess key competencies including strategic vision and analytical skills enhanced by intuitive consumer insight and full Microsoft Office competence (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Entrepreneurial, innovative DNA with excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written). Must be a “risk taker” that is never satisfied with the status quo.
  • Must be willing to embrace speed, change and uncertainty.
  • Experience with both Regional and National Foodservice Distributors a definite asset.
  • Travel: Travel is expected to be above 50%
  • University degree preferred, MBA a plus. Candidates with equivalent business experience will be considered.
