UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security.
Through its programmes and projects, UN Women provides technical assistance to national partners (governmental and non-governmental), including the private sector, in implementing existing international and national commitments to women’s rights and gender equality. It facilitates networking and the exchange of good practices and advocates for women’s rights and gender equality in all areas of life.
The work of UN Women in the Republic of Moldova is guided by its Country Strategic Note 2023 – 2027, which is aligned to the UN-Moldova Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) for 2023-2027 and the UN Women Global Strategic Plan (SP) (2022-2025). It aims to contribute to the gender-responsive implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The project “Advancing Climate Resilience and Women’s Empowerment in Moldova”, funded by the Canadian Government, from May 2025 to February 2029. The core aim of the project is to increase climate resilience and gender equality in rural Moldova through the sustainable management of forest, pasture, and agricultural resources, coupled with the economic empowerment of women.
As part of the implementation of this project, UN Women is seeking to engage a Programme Coordination Analyst to manage and lead the implementation of the project.
Reporting to the WEER Programme Specialist, the Programme Coordination Analyst is responsible for coordinating the “Advancing Climate Resilience and Women’s Empowerment in Moldova” Project within the Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) portfolio which includes coordinating relationships with national partners and stakeholders, and the monitoring and reporting, and the finances and personnel of the portfolio.

Build partnerships and support in developing resource mobilization strategies
Advocate and facilitate knowledge building and management and communication
The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organisation.
