Reference: 2780924FPDo you want to play a major role in inspiring the next generation of students in a world-class University?This is an exciting opportunity to join the School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) as a Technical Manager to support education activities.As a Technical Manager you will be responsible for managing and coordinating specialist technical ECS teaching laboratories, supporting the strategic growth of student numbers by allocating resources, procuring specialist equipment and consumables, managing space and technical requirements to meet teaching demands across the School, and training staff and PhD students in the optimal use of teaching facilities.Successful delivery in this role will significantly contribute to protecting the capital investment in ECS teaching facilities and to deliver the maximum educational value from them.You will provide technical advice and support to the Head of School and Deputy Head of School Education. This includes playing a major role in the development of new teaching facilities, using knowledge of best practice and industry standards.You must have substantial experience in a relevant technical field, with ability to apply technical knowledge to evaluate complex problems and recommend solutions and plans of action.
